ASHLEY
If you'd have asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, it depended on the age. Most kids dreamed of being astronauts, or doctors, or teachers... when I was a child, my lifelong goal was to get to be Alice at Disneyland. I mean serious #goals right? Following that, I would have said my sights were set on the Broadway stage. And although I spent many years on the stage, and even at a performing arts high school (Fame anyone?), it wasn't until several years into adulthood when I purchased my first digital camera. To be honest, I got it to document my travels around the world. But then one day I was asked if I would document a friend's wedding because I took "pretty pictures." I'm not sure what compelled me to say yes, but it was like a lightbulb went off. I was OBSESSED. I finally had an excuse to EAT CAKE on a regular basis. Although I'm half kidding about the cake thing, the most incredible part of it is the joy of being a part of two families coming together to begin a new life together. #butreallyitwasthecake

WHO WE ARE
It's really crazy that life lead me to film weddings since my mom was a film wedding photographer back in the day and her mom before her. I started off as a teen working in my Dad's cabinet shop while pursuing a business degree, but it wasn't doing it for me. I always loved documenting and being that it was engrained in me at a young age I had a grasp of the technical side of how a camera worked just by being exposed to it most of my life. My skills existed in mostly capturing drops of water splashing in a pond or a beautiful sunset (basic dude shots). It wasn't until I met Ashley and she asked me to assist her at a wedding that I fell in love with capturing people and emotions (and her of course) that was over 10 years ago. No two couples are the same and that's what I love about it, it's finding those things that make the couple who they are together and capturing that.

We believe in lazy mornings, short breaks, long kisses, and moments that feel like they go on forever.
Adventure is the cure for anything that ails you, but it's somehow also true that there's no place like home with the one you love.

When Ashley & I were in the Macy's in NYC we had one of those out of body experience impulse buys in the cologne section. But I'm not mad, it's a good smell.

Classical, acoustic, electric, I love them all. I was classically trained for years and have been in multiple rock bands.

GUITAR
Yep. Most of my life I detested it, but at some point along the way I became a full on addict (I think it happened sometime around not sleeping and newborn babies, not sure, that time period is a bit of a blur). I drink it every morning either black or with some grass-fed butter in it.
